REA signs NEP PBG agreement for 5 additional communities

5 additional communities set to be energized through Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP) – Performance-Based Grant (PBG).

On the 3rd of Feb, 2021, the MD/CEO of REA, Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad and Head, NEP Project Management Unit, Anita Otubu received representatives of 2 mini-grid companies, Acob lighting and Solar Philippines for the official signing of the PBG.

This process serves a critical milestone towards the deployment of energy infrastructure in;
– Ajegunle community and Sule Abapanu and Bondo Clusters, Edo State.
– Makami community, Kaduna State.
– Obadore community, Ondo State.
– Ode-Omi community, Ogun State.

In the coming months, these communities will join the growing list of communities being sustainably energized through the use of data-driven off-grid solutions across Nigeria.
