NEP Signs PGB Agreement with Nebular & Maskh

REA-NEP SIGNS ADDITIONAL PBG AGREEMENTS WITH TWO (2) FIRMS

TOn Wednesday, 26th October 2022, the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP), Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) signed Performance Based Grant (PBG) Agreement with two (2) two renewable energy companies; Nebular Engineering Limited and Maskh Nigeria Limited

Head, Project Management Unit (HPMU)-NEP, Anita Otubu carried out the signing agreements on behalf of the Managing Director/CEO-REA Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad at the NEP office conference room which had in attendance, the Solar Mini Grid, Component Lead, Engr. Uche Honnah and other NEP team members as well as representatives of the companies.

In her welcome address, she congratulated the companies for successfully scaling through all procurement processes, urged them to demonstrate a high degree of commitment in carrying out the projects and assured them of REA’s fulfilment of its responsibilities at all times..

A total of 1,320kWp of PV Capacity installation is expected to be deployed at the sites, with proposed connections of 8,326 to households and MSMEs, by the two companies in the 18 communities impacting approximately 41,630 Nigerians

Nebular Nigeria Limited signed agreement for 9 communities in Nasarawa (7) as well as Plateau (2) States. Maskh Nigeria Limited signed for 9 more communities in Bauchi State in addition to the 4 sites signed previously on the 14th of June 2022.
