EPC AND O&M Contract Signing for EEP II

REA Deepens Energizing Education Programme Phase 2 Implementation, Sign Contract with 5 Renewable Energy Companies:


The Agency moved deeper into implementation of the 2nd Phase of Federal Government’s Energizing Education Programme, with funding from the World Bank under the Nigeria Electrification Project.

The EEP was conceptualized by the Federal Government to provide clean, reliable and sustainable power supply to 37 Federal Universities and 7 associated Teaching Hospitals using renewable energy sources. Funding was fully secured for the 1st Phase through the Green Bond.


While the EEP 1 was implemented in 9 universities and 2 university teaching hospitals (with 7 now fully completed), the EEP 2 will equally deliver on the deployment of solar hybrid power plants in 7 additional Federal Universities and 2 associated Teaching Hospitals.
