59th Power Dialogue: How Can Diversity Affect Utility Advancement

The Electricity Hub in partnership with MacArthur Foundation held the 59th Power Dialogue on Thursday, 23rd June 2021 where the REA-NEP, HPMU Anita Otubu moderated with attendance by renowned female professionals in the power sector including Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) Commissioner on Consumer Affairs – Aisha Mahmud, Former Vice President World Federation of Engineering Organization – Valerie Agberagba, Policy and Partnerships Manager at AllOn – Adaobi Oniwinde who served as panelist at the discussion.

The objectives of the dialogue highlighted on;
1. The impact of women on the electricity supply industry of Nigeria
2. To justify the urgency for diversification in electricity supply utilities
3. To introduce the Ladies in Africa Developing Innovative Energy Solutions initiatives (LADIES) and contemplate its expectations.

Also in attendance were women from both private and public power sector.
