how the mini-grid significantly reduced mortality rates, easing her work and improving conditions for the
delicate babies. Her story, after over 20 years of service at the hospital, is a powerful reminder of the impact
of our work.

Another memorable project is the Nasarawa Toto interconnected mini-grid. Initially, the community’s
demand was around 300 kilowatts, but we supplied 360 kilowatts. Within eight months, their demand
surged to over 1 megawatt, leading to the establishment of new businesses, such as a Yoghurt factory and
various shops. This growth underscores the profound impact of reliable electricity on local economies.

While we measure many impactful parameters, it is crucial to go beyond the
data and realize the relationship between our work and the improvement
of living conditions for Nigerians. Seeing the joy in communities where mini-grids are

deployed is always a highlight. The gratitude towards the Federal Government for these interventions is
deeply moving.

I often say that in urban areas, we take certain things for granted, but small changes can have a profound
impact on rural communities.
